Since 2004, Bleeding Skull has explored otherworldly cinema through reviews, books, and home video releases. We shine a light on independent genre films that have flown under the radar but deserve to be seen by all. Fangoria has called Bleeding Skull âThe go-to encyclopedia for trash, bizarre, and shot-on-video cinema,â while Vice referred to it as âlike a fever dream glimpse into parallel worlds". Visit us at BLEEDINGSKULL.COM.
Never released outside of Japan, FUJI_JUKAI.MOV is an eerie found footage horror movie from filmmaker Katsumi Sakashita. The story follows Ami, a high school student who travels to the Jukai forest to take her own life. But when students Mi-tan and Hinata interrupt Ami's plans, an even darker side of the forest is revealed. The first J-horror feature to be filmed entirely on an iPhone, FUJI_JUKAI.MOV combines true crime chills with ambitious unfiction to build an unsettling experience that's a true discovery for found footage archeologists.
